Petite Palette Art and Cooking Classes

I have painted for over 25 years. It has brought me so much joy to follow my passion. When I started Petite Palette 14 years ago, I loved the thought of bringing art and culinary design to the students where they are. I love sharing my passion and watching my little artists and chefs grow.

My Mission

To inspire young creators—whether with paint, paper, or pasta—by giving them a fun, nurturing space to explore, make mistakes, and shine.

Petite Palette now has over 250 students a week in both art and cooking classes. Our teachers include Susan Coppens, Sarah Emling, Pam Coutant, and the fabulous assistants who make everything run smoothly.

My Art classes emphasize:

• Confidence building
• Creative problem-solving
• Exposure to a variety of art materials
• Encouragement of self-expression
• A whole lot of fun

Parents often tell me their child can’t wait for art day—and that’s exactly why I do this.

My Culinary Design classes emphasize:

• Kitchen confidence
• Measuring & basic math
• Following instructions
• Trying new foods
• Healthy habits
• Pride in making something on their own

Just like in my art classes, children learn through hands-on experience, sensory exploration, and joyful experimentation.
